2024 - York Region

In fall 2024, the Dance Together Festival returned to York Region for the third year. Working in partnership with Richmond Hill Public Library and Assembly Park in Vaughan, the festival offered a total of four days of free dance programming during Ontario Culture Days.

With a total of seventeen workshops featuring 33 diverse artists and 460 participants, this year was pretty much a dance marathon! Community members were invited to take free dance workshops and enjoy relaxed performances with diverse professional dance artists. Styles included Swing (with a live band), Hip-Hop, Afro Fusion, Partner Dance 101, Salsa, Bachata, Bollywood, Bharatanatyam as well as Mexican, Ukrainian and European Folk Dances! All workshops and events were free for participants, thanks to the generous support of the Host in Vaughan Grant and Richmond Hill Community and Cultural Grant Program. Presented by the Dance Together Project in partnership with York Region Arts Council, Assembly Park, City of Vaughan, Tourism Vaughan, City of Richmond Hill and Richmond Hill Public Library.
