Cotee Harper is a collaborative indigenous dance artist from Toronto. Her roots stem from the Cree Shawnee Potawatomi nation and she is a member of Mistawasis Saskatchewan. She has over 25 years dance experience including classical ballet to contemporary and indigenous dance styles. Cotee has classical dance training at the Anna Mc Cowans Interplay School Of Dance. She has learned the discipline from classical ballet and the creativity from the contemporary dance to the importance of acknowledging who you are and where you come from as an Indigenous dance artist. Cotee continues to merge her heritage as an Indigenous dance artist with her contemporary dance styles. She frequently performs in festivals and ceremonies in Ontario, for the Indspire award show, as well as in classrooms and music videos (Jeremy dutchers : Mehcinut).
